PS: public institutions should not endorse commercial providers of digital resources when they can reasonably control their own. Seems fairly obvious to me. Now that @atproto.com exists and is viable, we should regulate this and require the EC and others to run their own infrastructure.

First off, on-the-ground immediate response is generally lacking on Bluesky, this is a symptom of network size. The reality is that most journalists simply aren't outraged by Twitter/Musk enough yet to leave it and eschew its network effects.
